Not having been exposed to many business owners, the way I became interested in the entrepeneurial spirit was through some business courses in college; that's also where I got some work experience as a social media manager!

It has always been clear to me that many businesses get along without much of an online presence. Most get work from their local community and some do no advertising at all and rely on word of mouth to get new customers.

Of course this strategy works -- but the truth is that if you can get your business online, you can:

• Access more customers; our local community is filled with more people than you think!
• Streamline and organize the process of interacting with those customers, and eventually, through online tools, your business itself.
• Get feedback faster so you can improve what you do.

After some years working as a full-stack software engineer, I am certain I have enough of a grasp of what's possible on the internet to help small businesses accomplish their goals; the hardest part for you is really just being willing to adapt.
